Okay, Well, I wasn’t going to actually be able to let myself off without even a photo. Or a word or two to explain my absence. Thanks, Daryl.

What a wonderful baby picture! Such an expressive face. The photo looks too modern to be of you, but I hope it is actually you because it makes your blog post even more meaningful.

OMG, STEPHEN. FIRST OF ALL, WELCOME TO MY ONLINE HOME AND THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING. WHAT A SURPRISE! YOU ARE RIGHT – THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO USE A PHOTO OF MY BABY SELF. I AM EMBARRASSED TO HAVE TO ADMIT THAT IT WAS NOT ME. IT WASN’T EVEN HUMAN. DOLL. BABY DOLL. A RECENT GIFT FROM A FRIEND, ONE OF THOSE THINGS WHERE YOU ADMIRE SOMETHING AND SUDDENLY IT IS BEING GIVEN TO YOU. DAYS AFTER I TOOK IT HOME I DRESSED IT IN MY KIDS’ OLD BABY CLOTHES. WHY NOT, I THOUGHT, I CERTAINLY WASN’T GONNA HAVE GRANDCHILDREN TO DRESS ANY TIME SOON. AND THEN I SIMPLY HAD TO PHOTOGRAPH IT. IT LOOKS SO REAL PROPPED UP IN THE ROCKER IN MY LIVING ROOM. I HOPE MAYBE THAT MAKES IT A BIT MEANINGFUL FOR YOU. THANKS FOR LIKING IT.
