Widows and widowers are people who lost a spouse. We could laugh about this; each one of us knew loss too well.<br \/>\n\u201cAnd what is a word that means \u2018a dear one who died\u2019?\u201d It was the question that had haunted me all week.<\/p>\n<p>I was about to make an ice cream toast to our lost loved ones when the server sent out a fifth dessert.<br \/>\n\u201cIt was on your order.
