Your work has a very strong voice – I could pick out your work in a line-up. That’s a good thing. It’s a quality that galleries look for in an artist. I know hat many of these creations are personal expressions of love and loss but they could also claim a larger place in the world.
That is really kind of you, Christine. Thank you for reading and responding so. Love, yes, but please let’s not allow loss to claim too large a place in this world. In your gallery you must go crazy hearing all the expressions of love and loss. They must pierce your heart constantly as they howl and shriek and and ooze dripping off the walls.
Many thanks, Gayle. I’m trying to make my artwork more warm and joyful. So this was good to hear. Quirky is welcome too. To me, ‘quirky’ is like the new ‘exotic.’ Something not quite belonging to normal, but trendy, and definitely something (these days) to strive for. Cheers!
Hi Connie. And welcome to my online home. I’m so glad you found my Gallery although I’m sorry you couldn’t find your sleep. When I went to Florida to visit my mother, I loved all the twisty, hugging trees. I must have photographed hundreds of them from Pompano Beach to Sanibel. I don’t believe I’ve been north to Deerfield Beach since before I picked up a camera. But I used to visit Wakodahatchee Wildlife Sanctuary near Delray Beach. What a gem that place was. Especially early mornings. Good to know there are lots more huge hugging trees out there. Thank you.
Totally love your webpage, sage wisdom,PHOTOS. I specially love the three herons. I am a bird watcher and hope to continue to receive your emails or newsletters, if you have them to distribute. We need your inspiration.
Hi Bettina. Thank you for finding me. And for liking the herons. And for reminding me that spring will come sooner or later, bringing back the birds that are so much fun (not to mention challenging) to photograph. I hope you signed up for my blogs because I intend to go after more birds this spring. Thanks for “putting a bird in my ear.”
Thank you so much, Laurel. So great to have you find my site and my work. Quite different from my old life as Silk Oak or plumber’s keeper. I really appreciate your compliment. I’m encouraged to update my Gallery now so maybe you’ll find your way back there again soon. Cheers!
Hello Robin

Fraternal hug! Best wishes for new year 🙂

I love your art! So much playfulness and beauty!
Can’t figure out if you’re complimenting Gayle Gray or me here, Sandy. But thanks for your compliment, either way.
I enjoyed looking at your wonderful art tonight as I couldn’t get to sleep. I think I know that huge tree. Is it in Deerfield Beach?
