No birds since I spent Thanksgiving with two vegan friends. A little 2 day holiday with time to paint together and share dreams. I loved the simplicity and lack of family expectation.

I am unusually cheerful for this time of year, even though it rained almost every day of October and November. We’ve started walking every day, rain or shine, and it has pulled us out of the usual doldrums. So chin up, get Suki out for a romp in the snow and hang up some fairy lights! Love, Lucy

It does feel like “getting through” the holidays is the major goal this time of year. We survived this one, and now we can enjoy the gorgeous snow vistas outside our windows, Robin!

Yes, Lynne. The snow is beautiful. Especially on the rare sunny day. Makes surviving the holidays a ton easier when there’s sun. I do believe I’m going to miss the holidays when this season is finally over because I am way more lenient with myself during these times. It will be: back to the grindstone, soon, when the holidays are over.
